Passion for musical expression and technical virtuosity have been the guiding principals of the founder and head designer of Bel Canto, John Stronczer. Dissatisfaction with the status quo of ‘High End Audio’ created the desire to go beyond the mundane by designing audio systems to satisfy his deep need to experience of the power and expression of music.

This desire inspired the founding of Bel Canto Design over 15 years ago. Continually experimenting and designing with both old and new technologies ensued: Single-Ended Triode amplifiers, advanced Digital to Analog conversion and clock recovery, advanced switching output stage audio amplifiers and even multi-channel home-theater equipment. All of this work has lead to the present state of Bel Canto’s product offering and knowledge in High Performance home audio components and systems.

The lessons learned in this process have given rise to the most technically superior, innovative and exciting line of audio equipment available. The extreme performance capability of the individual pieces in the Bel Canto line are fully realized when used together to build an optimized system.

Each link in the complex chain from the recording studio to your home is critical to your final musical enjoyment. The last stage of this chain, beginning with the recorded medium and ending with sound in your home is typically a land mine of confusion, dead- ends and wasted effort, resulting in the loss of the compelling power that a great musical experience can bring to your life.

For John Stronczer this musical experience was the only reason to build an audio system. It was not an option to lose the full expression of that experience for the sake of market requirements, passing trends or fashion.

Our goal at Bel Canto is to help you reach audio nirvana through the application of our product design, manufacturing and system building expertise.
